Education in UK becoming more behaviour oriented : says LPU team after visit to University of Wolverhampton


LPU team visits University of Wolverhampton, UK for one week long faculty exchange program to have a firsthand experience about the various facets and models of education delivery followed in UK. The team observed teacher training programs and visited partner schools and colleges in Walsall, Sandwell and Wolverhampton. The team also saw a range of teaching and learning environments at the University’s campuses and in schools and colleges, and visited Stratford-upon-Avon and London. The aim of the visit was to exchange ideas on developments in teacher training, classroom management and the use of new technologies in teaching and learning.
Amongst the major activities carried out by the faculty team of LPU were understanding the model of Teacher Training program employed in England, the teaching strategies employed at Primary and Secondary level there and the increased role of technology in imparting education adopted at all the levels of learning. While studying the teacher training programs, the team visited different schools there like Mill Field Primary School (South Hall), St. Peter's CE Primary School, Queens Mary Grammar School for Boys & Joseph Lockie Sr. Sec School.
